Our base is situated in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire Union Canal , part of the Four Counties Ring.
From A41 at Newport turn right onto the A 519 to Eccleshall. After 2.3 miles turn right signed Norbury, go through the village following the canal boat signs.
Full tuition is given at the start of each holiday but if there is a problem we're only a phone call away.
You will also find that other boaters are only too friendly and willing to give help and advice.
Maps and Guides are best ordered in advance via the booking form. This will give you the opportunity to plan your holiday and to see what attractions you might like to visit. These can also be bought on the day of departure.
What do I need to bring? There is a full inventory of equipment aboard each boat.
However you do need to ensure that everyone has non slip footwear with no sharp heels (these damage the non-slip surfaces). Please also remember the vagaries of the British climate and bring waterproof clothing and sufficient warm clothing - especially if boating during the winter months.
You will also need an initial supply of groceries. We can supply this for you if you wish, also beers, wines and spirits - please phone or e-mail us.
Weekly cruises begin on a Saturday. The boat will be ready by 3p.m. and must be returned by 9.00 a.m. the following Saturday and vacated by 10 a.m. and vacated by 10 a.m. prompt.
Short breaks are from 3 p.m. Friday to 9.00 a.m. Monday or have 4 days for the price of 3 days from 3 p.m. Monday to 9.00 a.m.Friday.
Long Term hire and prices can be arranged by agreement but will attract a good discount - depending on the length of hire.
The Hire fees cover all the hire costs of the boat and its inventory, bed linen, towels, diesel, gas and toilet pump outs. An initial supply of gas for your holiday will be on board and the toilet holding tank is usually sufficient for a weeks holiday. Outdoor car parking at the boat yard is included at owners risk.
Each boat operates a Damage Deposit scheme. The damage deposit will be payable before the boat leaves the base. Please read the conditions of hire.
You are welcome to view the boats, but please ring first to make sure they're in the boatyard, as the boats are likely to be out on hire.
